Quarter Two News: During quarter two we will be completing a friendly letter to a former United States President. We will be also completing a persuasive essay. Along with these city mandated writings, we will also be learning about Homophones, Verbs, and Adverbs. We will discuss how to add detail into our writings, and how to make inferences about a text. Students will work on punctuation through D.O.Ls or Daily Oral Language, and will also get a chance to complete some fun writing prompts on Fridays. I am sure there will be more to come!!!!
This Week's News: This week students will be collecting canned goods for the New Hampshire Food Bank. The class with the most cans will receive a class party (Students are not required to bring in cans). Student's letters to the troops have been given to Moore Mart, and will be delivered to the troops in care packages (No personal information was given in these letters). Students this week will be starting their friendly letters, and will be working on homphones.
